There’s no room for error on a location shoot - and there’s a lot that can go wrong… Securing the permits in time. Grumpy facilities managers. Gear getting lost. Batteries not charged. Talent running late. Do we have enough cards? Prepping in the dark to catch first light. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, second dinner. The weather. Always, the weather… But when it all comes together - and it always does because it has to - you’re reminded why you love doing this work…

The studio is where you get to play. With cyc walls and reams of colorful seamless backdrops, to props and wardrobe, studios feel like a playground for all the components of a production. You can make them clean, streamlined and classic for white box and apparel shoots. Or you can take those concepts and iterate on them endlessly - challenging expectations and pushing creative boundaries. As you can see below, we’ve done it all and then some, but there’s always another concept to bring to life… What’s yours?

The first half of my career was spent in television. Starting as a PA and working my way up to Supervising Producer, I’ve found the ingredients that make a successful television show are the same needed to make a successful photoshoot, brand marketing campaign, or ad spot. Starting with creative ideation, leading into the fleshing out of that concept, to building a production based on the specific needs of that creative, then executing with that production team over days and weeks, and finally seeing it through the post-production process - all those different types of productions require a strong team of creatives, producers and crew to bring them to life. The shows I worked on run the gamut from being on location, to building out a studio set, interviewing and casting talent, to scouting locations around the world. Each production has unique needs, but the common thread that runs through all of them is: the creative is only as good as the team you build to execute on it.
